In Pokemon Platinum, you'll travel back to Sinnoh, and the storyline remains largely the same as it was in Diamond/Pearl, with some differences, both minor and significant, that make the game different. Pokemon Platinum continues a tradition that started with Pokemon Yellow back in 1999 - it is, in essence, a supplement to Pokemon Diamond and Pearl (much like Yellow was for Red and Blue), remaining essentially the same game as the games that preceded it, but with minor changes that, in the end, make the game harder. For a series that hasn't changed a whole lot since its initial release in Japan in 1996, it still draws millions of gamers to it with each subsequent release, and for good reason.
